CSI Student Leader of the Month for October

The Center for Student Involvement would like to proudly announce

Adelphi’s Student Leader of the Month for October 2015:

Laine Martin


Laine has been very involved in a number of facets this semester. As President of GAMES Club, Laine has aided the organization in raising membership from 12 to 40 people through their leadership. Laine is also a member of the IT student team and an English major.

Laine’s nominator stated: “Laine was one of the first students to speak at the National Coming Out Day panel, and the first trans person to speak about their experience at this event.”

“Laine puts consistent effort in every part of managing the club, and inspires the people around them to be leaders themselves. So many people who would otherwise not participate in group discussions have become active contributors to weekly meetings.”  

The Center for Student Involvement congratulates Laine on her hard work and dedication to Adelphi University.

Nominations are due by the last Friday of each month during the academic semester, nominate someone today. The Center for Student Involvement would also like to thank everyone who nominated a student this month.
